The following is a guide on how to propose a new case for inclusion:

Step 1: Verify the Case Meets Inclusion Criteria

Only certain types of cases are presently included in this repository presently. Check the Criteria For Case Inclusion page to determine if the case you want to include is eligible for inclusion here.

Step 2: Check If The Case Might Exist Already

Perform a search using the search bar at the top of the wiki to check if an article may already exist for the case you want to include. Also, look at the Global List of All Cases for the period around when the case happened.

Finally, check the Current Case Study Leads page to see if there might already be a lead related to the case. If the case shows up on that page, then there is likely some useful information or sources there which you should include.

Step 3: Create Your Free Wiki Editor Account

Presently, all edits and page creations need an account (which is free to create). If you don't have an account yet, click here or the link on the top right of the wiki to start the signup process. If you are already signed up, there's no action needed here.

Step 4: Create a Full and Complete Case Page

Check the Anatomy of a Case Study page for a template of all the sections to include. You can copy all the formatting from that article into your new article with "Edit Source". Every sections of the article should be complete with some text replacing the default.

If you end up unable to complete the case, be sure to include a reference to your partially complete case in the Current Case Study Leads page.

Step 5: Add the Case to the Pending Inclusion List

Add your newly created article to the List of Cases Pending Inclusion. Follow the instructions on that page for what information to include. Your page will either be directly added or you will see some feedback on that list page itself. Do not attempt to manually modify the automatically generated case lists, as your changes will be automatically reverted when the list next updates.
