Wassies, created by Wassies, are adorable yet mischievous creatures that inhabit the fridges of many households, spoiling food and causing chaos when humans are away. A user named Tarsiusv2 or RabbitinM was a holder or many such NFTs when they engaged with someone who they thought was willing to commission them to produce NFT art. Instead of a PDF document file, they were provided with a SCR screensaver file with a PDF icon. A SCR file is a type of executable file, which was able to launch malware and take control of their computer. Through this control, the attacker was able to gain access to all of their MetaMask wallets.

Wassies, created by Wassies, are adorable yet mischievous creatures that inhabit the fridges of many households, spoiling food and causing chaos when humans are away. Despite their short lifespan of just 14 days, Wassies lead lives full of good vibes and enjoyable experiences. Physically inept and part platypus, part penguin, and part duck, Wassies come in various forms, including outcasts and the ultimate comfy companion, Couch. These small beings, hand-drawn by the original Wassie artist Tukinowagamol, are now available in the metaverse, inviting enthusiasts to join their adventures. The Wassies community fosters relationships through fun activities like the Drink and Draw event every Wednesday, where members gather to celebrate art and friendship. Additionally, Wassie Wednesday gifts a Wassie to an outstanding community member weekly, promoting inclusivity and engagement. Even without owning a ByWassies NFT, individuals can join the community and start their Wassie journey.
