Welcome to the largest detailed repository of cryptocurrency scams, hacks, and frauds in the world, which anyone can contribute to. Our goal is to merge all the separate repositories and lists for various hack, scam, and fraud events in the cryptocurrency space, combining together every source of information on both major and minor events. This makes it easier to conduct research into best security practices for individuals and firms, effective policy decisions for regulators, and what procedures make sense and have worked in the past for effectively handling various common situations.

Together we can prevent a lot of needless human suffering. Human suffering is bad.

Access Case Studies

Case studies are all free to access. You can search for a case using the search bar. Many organized lists of categorized case studies are also available.

Prevention Policies

The end goal of the repository is to come up with a complete set of best practices to prevent losses for individuals, organizations, and regulators. As each case is reviewed, we compare against particular policies which would have prevented the loss. Compiling the policies together can create frameworks which you can access below.

Prevention Policies for Individuals - The best practices you can use to secure your funds and protect yourself against theft.
