Dan Finlay is a decentralized web developer and the lead developer of MetaMask at ConsenSys, with a diverse background in comedy, writing, and teaching. Recently, a controversy arose when his Farcaster account was compromised, leading to the promotion of a fake token, $FINN, which was initially believed to be linked to him. Finlay denied any involvement, stating the screenshot circulating was false. MetaMask publicly acknowledged the incident, however no assistance has been available for anyone affected.
