About This Repository
Welcome to the largest global repository of cryptocurrency scams, hacks, and frauds in the world, which anyone can contribute to. Our goal is to merge all the separate repositories for various hack, scam, and fraud events in the cryptocurrency space, combining together every source of information on both major and minor events. This makes it easier to conduct research into best security practices for individuals and firms, effective policy decisions for regulators, and what procedures make sense when things go wrong.
Together we can prevent a lot of needless human suffering. Human suffering is bad.
How To Contribute
This is an open wiki that anyone can contribute to. If you are new, here are some places you can get started:
Criteria For Case Inclusion - We have some basic criteria for what gets an article and what doesn't. Be sure to read this guide before adding any new articles.
Anatomy Of Case Study - Read about the general format of articles and how they should be structured.
Current Case Study Leads - Go here for a list of case study leads to follow up on. Leads are websites, articles, or names of events which have information that likely hasn't yet been included in the repository. As you conduct research, you'll likely come across more sources and incidents than you can investigate, so feel free to add some more material here for someone else to follow up on.
Known Case Repositories - Other sources online which often contain list of events that can be studied and merged into the wiki as leads.
